Apocalypse Stage

This is a Bliss Stage/Werewolf: the Apocalypse crossover. If you're not familiar with White Wolf's Werewolf game (the original one, not the newer Werewolf: the Forsaken), it will make little or no sense to you.

8 years ago: a series of environmentally catastrophic industrial accidents is followed by a global wave of eco-terrorism. The Final War begins.
7 years ago: existence of shapeshifters revealed. First mutagenic plagues unleashed. First outbreaks of Onesong.
6 years ago: first known appearance of Wyld berserkers. Enclaves established.
2 years ago: the last Enclave falls.
1 year ago: a renegade Pentex scientist gathers a few uncontaminated human teenagers and initiates Project Morpheus using stolen Weavertech.
Today: Apocalypse Stage.

The human race is effectively extinct. All adult human beings have become either Wyrm-mutated fomori, Weaver-enslaved drones or Wyld-addled berserkers. For whatever reason, children seem to be more resistant to possession—but not immune; even toddlers have occasionally been conscripted by the cosmic forces driving the Final War.

Replace Bliss points with Umbra points. The default assumption when a pilot goes over 108 is that the pilot's silver cord snaps and his or her spirit is unable to return to the physical world; alternatively, he or she becomes a fomor, drone or berserker and has to be put down like a mad dog. The usual assortment of other options exists.

Missions take place in the Umbra—first the Penumbra, then deeper Umbral realms. Rather than being in a dream state, the pilots undergo a form of machine-mediated astral projection. If anchor players are less than intimately familiar with the Werewolf spirit world, the GM should describe the general themes and imagery of the realm(s) being visited as part of the briefing action, so that the anchors have a basis from which to improvise.

That brought back some old memories... I met my sweetie playing WtA and VtM many years ago.

I'd love to see this fleshed out a little bit - I can see the relationship dynamics as being quite different from vanilla Bliss Stage.

Your mention of VtM reminds me of a peculiar idea I had for an Authority Figure. See, vampires never sleep—they're just temporarily dead during daylight hours...and if it were feasible to feed on the Blissed, the Authority Figure wouldn't even have to prey on his teenage charges.

That's HORRIBLE, Metal. And it fits - especially if it's a kind of Vampire not inclined to hate the Garou, such as a Gangrel (who sympathize) or a Malkavian (who doesn't give a flying ERK!).

It might be even more fun in a non-Apocalypse setting with a non-White Wolf vampire who only required a small amount of blood, or could satisfy most of his needs from animals, or something—but who did need to feed from his teenaged "herd" from time to time. Everyone would take turns feeding him, in return for having his super-strength and other powers to protect them. The only question is, why would he be motivated to create the ANIMa? But that can probably be answered without too much difficulty by the group.
